i was wodering does the 4GB black ipod nano have black on the front and back or only on the front cause one of my teachers has a 8GB black nano and a kid in my class has a 1GB version and well..................Teachers nano: black on front and black on back=8GB

friend:black on front, silver on the back =1GB

so please try to answer.

Question #2
i want to get the 8GB version black nano but it costs 250.00 and i will need to waste all my christmas and birth day and little bit of report card money to buy it. you can put 2,000 songs and i wont use it that much. the only reason i want an 8GB is so i can put a engraving on the back.
i think that the 4 GB is what i need. it costs 149.00 refurbished(means used alittle but but in new box and new manual and works as new)and U can but 1,000 songs and thats about the space that i need. but the thing that i hate about it is that it's used a little and that i can't engrave anything. i would use like 350 songs?

look i want a black nano<8GB>cause it has black on the back and the front and you get to put a lazer engraving.

otherwise, do you think that the silver nano is cool too. cause apple has a 2 and 4 GB silver nano and they only have a 8GB black ipod nano.

Don't buy it refurbished. With things like an iPod, you want to buy it new. And you can definitely fit WAY more songs than originally advertised. I got a 2 GIGer and I got more than 400 songs and still have about 400 MBs left (about another hundred songs or so, I'm guessing). If you want the 8 GIGer, why not go for it? That's about 10 thousand songs right there. Probably a couple weeks' worth of music there.

Oh, when you get your iPod, make sure you get a wall charger and don't use your computer to charge it. I did that with a 1 GIGer and that turned into a paperweight in two months. My 2 GIGer that I've mentioned is still up and running after a year after being charged with a wall charger.

1st question: It's possible that your teacher has a second generation Nano and that your friend has a first generation. They changed the design.

2nd generation: Don't spend an extra $100 just so you can have it engraved. That's not the most important thing and getting the 8 GB just for engraving is not worth $250 if you don't need the extra space. And besides, why get an 8GB when a 30 GB video costs the same?

I would go for the 4GB it will work for you now and when you have more money you can always upgrade as the ipod keeps getting more and more memory the price of the lower memroy units will start to drop drastically get the 4GB and in a year the 8GB may only be what the 4 costs now hope this helps make your decision have fun with it.
