when he calls you that just say why did call me that (sorta snobby) don't give him the impression you are not into him, sorta say it playfully!

It may not mean anything, some guys just call girls baby or honey all the time. Take some time to get to know this guy before you read anything into the things he calls you. If he really likes you, he show you by respecting you.

Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl, lol I go through that all the time and I'm soo sick of it that I'm going to just basically lay it down to you, one he has no respect for women, two he is desperate, three, I don't know about you but I truly get annoyed when that happens, I really believe that words like that should be used later in the friendship or relationship no matter how you use them today and always ask if the person feels comfortable with you calling them that, if he doesn't or didn't ask you how it makes you feel then he's definitely desperate!

Oh Gawd I hate that! I won't talk to guys that call everyone "honey", "baby" and "sweetheart"!!! Gets on my damn nerves!! You should only do that when it means something and is special! I mean if he says it to everyone, then it just ruins the special meaning those words are supposed to have!! yea, it just means he's a "smooth talker, charmer or player". don't fall for guys like that!! But if you REALLY want to still give him a try, then tell him what I just told you... and see what he says. Maybe he will stop until he means it....

Usually nothing, some people just have an outgoing personality. Baby and Honey can be used as friendly terms, not just intimate terms.

Usually nothing. Baby and Honey are generic terms anymore. Don't read too much into anything especially when it comes to guys...they really aren't that deep.

It depends on the way he says it.....
Maybe it just comes along with his talk while meaning NOTHING with it...
Maybe he says it and his eyes simultaneously detail it as though to be coming from the heart.... This is really toooooooooooo fast, and it shouldn't be expected of him, nor accepted by you...
Maybe he is trying to make the story short, but again, this is stupid if it is meant to be that fast....
If it is not meant to be, AND THAT'S WHAT EXPECT IT IS, THEN IT IS MORE OR LESS MEANINGLESS.....
Just watch him while he talks to other Gals, and judge for yourself if it was his TALKING HABIT...
Never mind it much, but if you are so keen on it and interested, then SIMPLY ASK when suitable to ask....

That is either just the way that he talks to women, or he is much too friendly and is treating you with disrespect by being overtly friendly. Ask him why he calls you that. If nothing else, it will bring it to his attention that he might offend someone when he is calling them that.

He grew up in endearing family and is accustomed to speaking sweet nothings to women folk, I'm so guilty of this too and sometimes I don't know whether or appropriate these days. He's just being a gentleman and sweet don't read anything past it.

It means that those pet names aren't special to him. He's most likely saying it because he knows that calling you pet names will distract you from the fact that he doesn't even know you and is getting way too familiar!
Don't read into them too much . . . he honestly probably says them to all the girls . . .
