hmmm...not a big fan of the dark because of some of the reasons you mentioned, I'm afraid of being in another abusive relationship, but mostly of finding out that no matter how hard I try I will always be a failure at life

well, when you have children you are constantly worried about anything happening to them and not yourself.
Something I`m definitely scared of is outliving my kids.
