It would be about time that they would finally stand up for themselves. They've been silent far too long a time. It would take nothing less than such a highly demonstrative act to change the opinions of most Americans.

There would be a sense of suspicion that they had waited so long, I would investigate who was behind it and hopefully embrace it.
I suppose the best term would be suspicious optimism.
Suspicion between disparate groups is normal, after the 911 incident I stopped in for my fill up at a local gas station. The owner and I had become friends as I had been stopping twice weekly to fill my SUV; I lived a long way from work. When I pulled in he informed my that gas was now $5 per gallon, I laughed, the look in his eyes told me he was not laughing. I pulled down the street to another gas station which was owned by an Arab. I went inside before filling up and asked the price. He laughed and asked whether or not I could read the sign; the posted sign showed the regular price. Guess who I bought my gas off of from then on out. The Arab manager was more than happy selling me the 80 gallons of gas per week, we became good friends. The American born owner tried hanging American flags and writing American born on his windows but he was out of business within 2 months. The Arab guy "Mo" was able to buy a much bigger house and became very popular in that well heeled community.
Again I used suspicious optimism and both sides won, the truth will come out just as it would in your hypothetical parade.

I think it might be good to see moderate/mainstream Shia and/or Sunni Muslims show some public facetime. However it practically would be like if mainstream Protestants and/or Catholics went out and protested radical fundamentalist Christians.
Sure it's nice to see some unity and some relatively moderate faiths demonstrating themselves peacefully but it's not likely very relevant to the Fundamentalists. Well intentioned...Nice to see...Some might even say necessary to see but it won't affect the Islamist Fundamentalists any more than the Fundamentalist Christians, I'm afraid. It might remind the rest of us however that it's not just fundamentalists that speak for a religion.

Depends on where. In rural areas? Scared. Git the Shotgun.
In the cities, many would probably join them.
As to the idiot who said no islamic leader has denounced terror? Wrong. Many and probably most have, in public even. Do your local preachers sermons usually make it into the papers when they address big issues? Islam doesn't have a central authority to speak of. they are not like Roman Catholics. You should realize that by now, shame. And before you bring in the 'nobody has reported it thing' that's wrong too. The New York times and the Washington post have recorded stories of that, to name 2. Perhaps if you watched CNN instead of fox and picked up a newspaper you'd realize that.

Normal people woud have no problem--except for griping about the traffic jams that would result. :)
The neocon racists and religious bigots would try to portray such a demonstration as a "Jihad to take over America" or some such nonsense. It would not matter what the nature of the protest was.

I can't speak for all Americans, but I would have to give them fierce props for the move. There is no reason that they shouldn't stand up for themselves. Islam is a peaceful religion, it is the extremists that make that not true.

Neither because of the fact it does no longer make it on television and no person will pay attention. They under no circumstances do. i won't be in a position of count extensive style what share situations Muslims have spoke out against suicide bombings. Restating persistently that the Quran says that to kill one harmless individual is as in case you have killed all of guy style and that suicide isn't permissible. the only ones who pay attention are people who's hearts are open to the certainty. yet that reported. we are only the main present day interior the long line of those persecuted interior the U. S.. The Am. Indians are not to any extent further called Savages. those of African respectable are not to any extent further slaves, the jap are not to any extent further imprisoned on suspicion of being Kamikaze's, The Russian immigrants are not to any extent further Communist terrorist, etc etc. there has been lots racist call calling in this usa. it is spectacular that a county who's shape for sure states "all of us are created equivalent" could have one among those background of Racism. If one individual of one race or faith is a bad individual they should all be. yet all i will say is "this too will bypass". I basically experience sorry for the subsequent "enemy or the state".

If they're protesting against terrorists ,I'd buy them a drink. Since they probably never will speak out en mass about terroism, they won't have to worry about alcohol being offered.

They would be frightened by the scene. But, wouldn't do a thing about it in support of freedom of speech.
