The Intel(R) PRO/100+ MiniPCI is a ethernet card built into your laptop. It is used by connecting a ethernet connector into the slot on your laptop( will look like an oversize phone plug)

You will need a PCMCIA Card for your laptop for wireless.

Telling us the brand and model number of your laptop would help to give you exact information on your laptop.

No big deal that you get that message. The cable your computer is looking for is an Ethernet cable to plug into that Pro/100 port.

Use the wireless connection wizard to connect and setup your wireless connection. It is located in the Control Panel.

I just bought a laptop and we had to actually flip a little switch to allow the internal modem to connect to a wireless network. Basically we had to turn the antenna on. Also we had to buy a wireless router and spend some time setting that up. Good luck!
