I'm a 16 yr old male and I want to shave my pubic hair..I want to hear from guys who have done this..what is the downside to it? Are there any problems with doing it? And can you plz tell me how to do it and give me suggestions...thanx!

There is nothing wrong with shaving. I did it for a while. The first shave is the worst; you may end up cutting yourself a little, and it will itch a bit, but after a while, your skin becomes tougher and it wont itch and it will be harder to cut yourself. It is best to cut it with sissors as close as you can to your skin. Also note that you should after this step get in the shower and let your pubic hair soften in the warm water. Then apply shaving gel, and go with the grain. After that, you want to go 90 degrees in an opposite direction of the grain to get rid of all the hair. good luck!

I'm 15 and staright.and i just started to shave down there. the good things about it is it makes you look bigger also keeps you cleaner. Also if theres no hair there then you cant get lice. the bad is that you may itch like crazy down there for like the first 2 days after shaving, but when you shave regularly the itching will stop and it will be easier to do. first trim you hair. leave about 1/4 inch. before Take a warm bath or shower to open the pores. Then put some shaving cream on and let it sit for like 2-3 mins. After that slowly and CAREFULLY!!! begin to shave if you go to fast you may cut yourself or get razor burn. you will feel way cooler in the summertime. hope that helped.

The downside is that when it starts to grow back it feels like you have sandpaper in your shorts. Not pleasant. My personal opinion here is that since pubic hair is definitely as sign of adulthood it doesn't seem to make much sense to shave it off. It makes a grown man look like a little kid, no matter how big his willy might be. Well, that's the end of the mini-rant.

Don't listen to the dorks that say shaving is a "gay" thing. They're wrong.
We go to nude resorts and beaches, and there are a good number of both men and women who shave their pubic hair. There's nothing wrong or odd about it.
Pay attention to the advice given by Karter and be careful. Shaving your bag can't be that easy of a task, but good luck.

Pubic hair is about as useful and appealing as dead skin on an 80 year old mans foot. There is absolute no reason or purpose for it, and to actually consider growing it is about as attractive and lazy as Kevin Federline. Dude, I have around 25 male and female friends in their late teens/early twenties, and none of them have even a speck of pubic hair. Pubic hair is disgusting, and only the most immature and filthy people would actually say that only gay males shave them. It's actually the other way around, only gay males would not shave because they aren't interested in pleasing the ladies. Do yourself a favour and shave those horrible curly bacteria off, NOW!!!!

I have been shaving my pubs since 1999. I trim the big stuff with a beard trimmer, then finish it off with the Fusion. I shave the shaft and ballbag with the fusion too. Girls love it. Or loved it. My GF loves it now. Pubs are too 70's. be a stud and shave it off. The next girl to give your hog CPR will think your a stud and tell are her friends. next thing you know you'll have priapism from all the girls on your jock.
PS- It doesnt itch. Maybe in the beginning, but if you keep up with it, it is no problem at all. Plus it makes your hog look bigger.

Don't shave your pubic hair if you are not gay. Gay men like to shave. Most of them shave everything off the way women do. Let the women shave if they want to shave, but there is no reason for you to shave. Most women don't like it when guys shave everything off. Don't wear lipstick or fingernail polish either. It will itch like crazy because a male's genitals are more sensitive than a female's genitals. A woman's genitals are mostly located inside of her body. Your genitals are completely exposed. It will cause a lot of problems for you if you shave your genitals.

best to trim it with beard trimmer or hair clippers, but not shave off alltogether- not cool- unless you're a porn star. Also if totally shaved have to worry about ingrown hairs, and itching.
