Serena WIlliams beat Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-2.
Complete Annihilation. I saw the match. Serena was simply perfect. So good to see her back from all those tough times. She's a wonderful player and she really did appreciate Sharpova. Sharapova was very dignified in her loss. She congratulated Serena and i appreciate that.
I hope Serena wins more g-slams in the future.
I'm praying that Gonzalez wins that final over Federer.

@Ashkon: Did you expect it when Andy Murray beat Federer?
I think Gonza can do it. He just has to go for broke.

Serena played magnificentlyl and thanfully I didnt have to hear the 102 decibel woman as the TV was muted. Why do women scream so loud and men dont? Serena Williams looks like shes more interested in tennis than her fashion line and she has the athleticism and skill to be the worlds top player as she was in the past.. However, injuries and lack of complete devotion to the sport has had an effect on her.
I think youre gonna need more than a prayer to have Gonza beat Federer despite the excellent form Gonza is in. Hopefully, the match is 3 sets for Federer or Gonza wins. Gonza winning would send shocks to the tennis world. Federer in 3 sets would make Federer not losing a set in teh entire open.. not exactly the easiest feat.

Congratulations to them both for reaching the final to begin with. I confess Chels I had little interest in the match or result as I am not great fans of either for my own reasons though they are both talented players, so well done.

Now Roger and Gonza..what fabulous tournaments they have had. Both in form both with points to prove. I hope this match lives up to our expectations unlike the match with Roddick. I think it will. Gonza has a less of a quitter sort of attitude and will fight to the death. But Roger has really lifted the bar and shown he has not quite reached the peak yet and can pull rabbits out of hats. My choice is Federer but I wish all the best to Gonzales in his future in tennis, it is surely very bright.

MOS DEF she deserves congrats!!!! But seriously, she may have been the best unseeded player in the tournaments history! Sharapova deserves props on a great match and the class she exhibited afterwards. Im impressed with both of them.
