Love can be blind and it can be splendid (or splintered). To have true love is the greatest joy, to lose it, the most exquisite sorrow.

Love is blind, and also a many splendoured thing.
If you listen to the wonderful song "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" you'll see that when you love someone you overlook their faults and see only what you choose to see, because 'smoke gets in your eyes'.
But when love is on, truly the world is rainbow coloured with sparkles and shining.
