Yes and No. Kerosene heaters are designed to run kerosene only. However, I have a friend that ran Diesel in his salamander heater. It ran very dirty and smelly. This is because diesel is a heavier petroleum cut than kerosene is and has a lower vapor pressure which hinders the heaters performance.
