i recently purchased an american standard wall mount toilet. i needed a toilet that flushes to the rear . i have all of the pipes i need. i need to know what type of mount or carrier i need. i have no information sheet with it. lowes cant help, home depot has been no help either. does anyone know of a web site i can look at to order a carrier or hanger for this american standard toilet. i didnt have any luck with american standard either. thanks

After looking at a few American standard wall-mounted toilets (Instanto, Glenwall and Afwall) it appears they simply bolt to the wall. For sheetrock wall installation, you must have blocking, ie doubled 2x6's, securely installed behind the sheetrock. Use stainless steel 2 1/2" 3/8 lag screws with washers. For block wall construction, toggle bolts should suffice. Evidently, wall mounted toilets come off the wall fairly regularly, as i found a number of sights that offer supports that fit under the bowl.

The system of fixing wall hung with casting bracket after leveling the wall by plaster before tiling.There is no cheaper or alternative shortcut to provide wall hung.For every model of any mfgs providing pre cast brevet before laying and fixing of tiles.Ask the plumber for the same.

You should be able to get all the hardware you need as well as instuctions from American Standard. I am really surprised that who ever sold you the toilette, didn't try to sell you the hardware also. See:

You have atoilet that hangs on your wall!>?? I have never ever heard of that or seen one like that before?? how would u hang it on ur wall??
