Ok I have had this since I was 12 years old I'am now 49. The condition you discribed is called " non-essential tremors" very few people know about them and sometimes will tease you about them. You need to be tested by a Neurologist, if I'm right there are several medications to help but have side effects. You may notice a difference after having a couple beers. Thats a good diagnostic tool but not the answer. There is Inderal, which I had bad reactions to and a couple others Itake Klonapin it helps take the edge off.In extreme cases such as Parkinses patients which the tremors imitate the disease. I had a person I worked with a few years ago had surgery in which they implant a pace maker and attach the leads to the trouble spot in the brain. They wake you up in the middle of the surgery with your skull wide open to make sure they have the right place in the brain once that is determined you go back to sleep they finish up and you follow up every 2 years for what the co-worker called a tune up with a magnetic device they can get computer readings and make adjutments as necessary. It is believed to be a heriditary disease which randomly hits generations. Which means your kids may not get it but maybe their kids will etc.

Do you want the medical approach or the holistic one? either way you can start by increasing Vit B complex intake and limiting caffeine. it's a hard question to answer without more information to be honest, but I think it is more likely Intention tremor, not essential. Intention tremors occur when, for instance, you have to intention to move the limb or pick something up which is a cerebellar dysfunction. essential tremors are more variable with larger portions of the body affected and is a postural tremor. From the limited info given if the tremor is only in the hands and does not affect the head or voice, but only occurs in hand or arm when you go to move, it's likely intention, although they are very similar. Start with increasing VIt B as a complex (it's water soluble so you can't take too much). I would say probably 2-3 day and if it gets progressively worse, see a physician for neuro testing. but other lifestyle modifications include dec caffeine, anxiety and stress/ improve how you handle stress.

My brother in law has a tremor as well. His is induced by too much caffeine in his diet. Have you explored that option? Then there is also medical issues to look into like Parkinson's or Turrets.

See a doctor who might refer you to a neurologist.I get tremors in my hands but its a physical problem with me.Not enough sleep or drinking too much caffeine can cause tremors. You need to learn to relax.

Could be a vitamin deficiency or an imbalance in your nutritional intake (you may need to look into a good multi-vitamin).
But there could be neurological factors that should be checked by your doctor, especially if its getting worse recently as you say.
