Carrie Underwood. She is a natural talent. She can REALLY sing and she makes it look so effortless. She makes you like country music even if you don't really like country music. She is a shining star.

Definitely Kelly Clarkson. If you recall, she was never voted in the bottom during her season & she sang every single music "style" well. She showed remarkable poise and stage presence, when only a newbie. She has steadily grown in her technique, and adapted the best of all Idols, to her success. She continually produces commercially popular and successful pieces. Of course, if Jennifer Hudson wins the Oscar...all bets are off on "Idol - Best".

Kelly Clarkson is the only winner with actual talent... and the only one who made something out of herself AFTER Idol.

I love Kelly Clarkson but I stopped watching after Jennifer Hudson got voted off way too early.

Look at Ruben and Clay and Talyor and Fantasia
After they've won, what the hell did they do?
Ruben and Clay dropped out of sight, Taylor's career is going down and Fantasia got fat and uglier.
