okay my friend slits her wrists and i dont understnd how doing that can kill you but she did have to go to the hopistial for hypervenilation or something she couldn't breathe

hyperventillation is a side-effect of shock (from loss of blood)...

There is a main vein that runs in your wrist and if you cut this vein and the bleeding is not stopped in time you can loose a lot of blood which can kill you if no one gets to you in time.
