I'm American, and crikey mate, I love the way you guys talk! I love the idea of going there one day as well. I have been studying the origins of your country for about a week now and it is very interesting.
My boyfriend on the other hand is not so keen on the idea of going there one day. I love animals, and loved Steve Irwin, he not so much the latter. He is afraid of your natural enviroment. Thinks he will be bit by a tarantula or other wild animal. He is also afraid of snakes and sais you all have the deadliest on earth. I haven't gotten that far in my studies, but no bother I won't let any of that scare me. I figure I'm more scared of the political climate here in the states than I am a little snake. I'll wrestle him down, where Bush is undefeatable. LOL.
Anyways, you as a group generalized seem like the greatest bunch on earth! You guys are so into life! Such an enthusiasm to everything. And you all don't seem to interested in starting world wars to, and I find that appealing. I used to want to get me a rugged Aussie guy, surfing, and living life to it's fullest, but then I found my guy and I couldn't let him go for anything! You are so lucky. You should run outside right now and grab some wild life and give it a hug for me...Like one of your kangaroos, LOL

I'm American, and I think the biggest problem with Australia is (most unfortunately) it's too far away!! It looks like, I don't know I have no idea how it is to actually be there or live there, but it looks like it would be a great place to be, tons of fun, lots of adventure, wonderful climate, great people, what's not to like? I have heard there are a lot of Italian-Australians too over there, so I could probably speak some Italian there too. Fantastic. Now if only I could do the 20-some hour plane flight......

Iv never been there but I would Like to go. I think I would enjoy It All the Australians Iv met have been insane. A lot of fun but insane, In a good way of course.
In the 80's during the height if the Cold War me father wanted to move the family there because he thought that nobody would want to bomb there. Really who hates Australia?

I've never been there, but from what I've seen it's quite lovely. As a kid I always thought it would be cool to have Christmas in the summer. The few Australians I know are very nice, so I'd have to say overall, I like your country and your people.

your country always kinda reminded me of a doughnut all the poeple live along the outside and no one really in the middle as for australians themselves i get a generally laid-back impression but i don't know that many from there

The country seems beautiful: The Great Barrier Reef, the rainforests, the desert (and Uluru), Sydney Harbor, etc.
The people seem friendly, though the ones I've personally met didn't seem too happy and a few had a drinking problem...

Fair Dinkum Sheila.
Every Pom secretly wants to be an Aussie.
They aren't up themselves like septics, property is unbelievably cheap compared to here, Weather is fantastic and the people speak English (and actually say what they mean).

They all seem to be in London or Edinburgh. I notice a lot of "second generation" ones end up back in the UK, where their parents came from.
Everybody likes Aussies, I have hardly ever heard a bad word said about them. .
