I don't think so. China is a major trading partner with the US. They have opened up to free trade and are one of the biggest growing economies. If there were a WW or a cold war then it would harm their economy and they know that. I think that it may have just been a matter of them getting rid of an old satellite or something like that. I don't think it was them flexing their muscles. They have also played a major role in negotiations with North Korea, now if it were North Korea or Iran blowing up satellites, then I would say watch out.

i think of the united kingdom, France, Russia and China itself might have some thing to assert approximately Japan having the 2nd optimum militia. edit: Japan isn't the technologically maximum progressed u . s . a . interior the international, you have been gazing to lots gundam. It definately does not have the main progressed military, definately in assessment to usa which has weapons and gizmos now that different international locations in all probability wont have for atleast 10 years. the eastern military is not any 15 to twenty situations the dimensions of the Indian military. Do you only make issues up? Japanes military- a million Helicopter service, 11 Destroyers, 36 Frigates, sixteen submarines, 6 Patrol Boats, 29 minesweepers, Indian military- a million plane service, a million attack deliver, 8 Destroyers, 13 Frigates, 15 Submarines, 24 corvettes, 28 patrol boats, 8 minesweepers. The tonnage is in all probability approximately 40% larger yet that's not often 1500% to 2000% as you propose. additionally Russia, the united kingdom and France all have larger navies than Japan.

Yes, the Chinese government has a larger army (almost 2.5x as many)
and NO you should not care! It is a good thing that the U.S. is doing nothing about it because they SHOULD be doing nothing about it!
First of all, we are involved in a fruitless war with Iraq, where wasted soldiers die everyday. We DO NOT need to get involved with another country and we sure as heck had better not try to wage war in both China and Iraq at once.
We cannot do much more to damage our reputation, as well as Bush's.
Secondly, the Chinese government shot down their own satellite. Why need we worry? There is nothing "scary" about your prophesied war with China and our current bout with Iraq is really helping us to lose our thirst for the golden liquid known as oil. The government is going to have to pull its head out of the sand sooner or later and call it quits with "playing God" with other countries so that it can better acknowledge its own fallacies.
After all, "A house divided against itself can no longer stand"

China's military has it made as long as the US military is so busy with the war on terror. If Bush would just let US intelligence agencies and US special forces fight the war on terror & not the US military (who should be watching China very closely) then I don't think China would be that big of a threat. But until that happens the US is in big trouble.

If you are talking soldiers and tanks, they have eveyone beat. But, with the nuclear capabilities we and others have, it's no contest. Everyone loses.
