If you had a talent and your brother or sister wanted you to teach them that talent, would you charge them money for it? Like if you knew how to play the drums and your brother wanted to learn and you gave lessons to strangers for money, would you charge your brother for lessons too?

No. You don't charge your immediate family. You do it because they are your family! You charge those that AREN'T your family, tho.

I personally wouldn't charge a family member to teach them one of my talents. Just think about it, one day you might need them to show you how to do something and more than likely they'll return the favor of not charging you even if it's something small..you know how siblings can be.

No, they are your family. Charging for services such as you described, on down the road, would be problematic. Besides, you love them, and that's what it's all about, sharing your knowledge with them right?

I fix computers and get approached by friends and family all the time for my service.

If you do it for free, and they are reasonable people, no problem.

If they tend to get in your personal space, and keep wanting more, charge them something, just to say to them and yourself that your time is money.

if that is what your job is yes but that is up too you . you can cut on the fee or what ever but you also don't to offend them or YOURSELF
