No they're not dumb they're fans. Fans are biased by definition. And the Colts are pretty well favored in this game so I wouldn't blame their enthusiasm. Not that it means a whole lot once the game begins. BTW - the Bears didn't lead the league in points. The Chargers had a boatload this year. They did lead the NFC though with 427 points. Weirdly enough, the Colts had... 427 points as well!

First Of All I Want To Say I Am Not A Colts Fan, Or A Disgruntled Saints Fan, Actually I'm A Jets Fan. With That Said Let's Examine Your First Sentence "Rex has better numbers in his first 16 game season than Manning did in his" Here They Are
Manning Grossman
Pass Attempts 575 480
Completions 326 262
Percentage (%) 56.7% 54.6%
Total Yards 3739 3193
Long 78 62
Touchdowns 27 23
Interceptions 28 20
All Of Those Numbers Are Directly From NFL.com Check Them If You Don't Believe Me, If Your Gonna Write Things Support Them With The Truth. Manning's Rookie Year vs. Grossman's Rookie Year, The Winner Is Manning In 6 Out Of 7 Major Stats!
Next You Call Manning A "Possible Hall Of Famer", Now Unless You Are Living Under A Rock, The Stats Show If He Continues On His Exact Path He Will Eclipse All Of Dan Marino's Hall Of Fame Numbers Therefore Crowning Him Greatest Of All Time!
Now Onto The "DUMB" Colts Argument "The Bears Don't Have A Good Defense" As Well As "We Lead The League In Points Scored". Considering You Have Such A Great Defense And Specials Team With Punt Returner Hestor, Did You Relize That 36% Of Your Teams Points Were Not Scored By Your Offense But Your Defense/ Special Teams. Take Those Points Away And The Bears Rank 16th In The League In Scoring. Listen Be Proud You Have A Great Defense It's Something The Colts Don't Have. And As For The Better Running Game Joesph Addai 4.8 Per Carry, While Thomas Jones Averages Just 4.1 Per Carry.
I Understand How It Feels To Be A 7 Point Underdog In A Big Game, Look At The Jets Against The Pats On Wild Card Weekend, But You Need To Support What Got You There And That Is Your Defense Not Your Offense, And Their Not Going To Start Now!!!!

1st of all: Peyton Manning has been improving in the postseason and has beaten his dillema. He is clearly the better quarterback in this matchup against Rex. Also, the Colts have better recievers for Peyton to throw to (Harrison, Wayne, Utecht, Clark, etc.), while Rex only has a couple that are good. (Berrian)
2nd of all: The Bears are not the only team with a good rushing game. The Colts are equally strong on the rush if not stronger that Jones and Benson. Rhodes and Addai will definitely match up to the expectations and prove to the U.S. that they are not worse than Jones and Benson.
3rd of all: Also, the Bears do not lead the league in points. The Colts are at least tied. (I think, and the Chargers are probably leading the league.)
4th of all: So what? Peyton THREW for 31 TDs and rushed for like 5-6 more. AND he didn't have as many INTs as Rex and had a WAY better QB rating.
5th of all: I will admit that the Bear DEF is 1st or 2nd in the league (Ravens #1?), but the Colt defense has improved tremendously since the playoffs wiht Bob Sanders back. Besides, they only are going against a mediocre offense (at least for passing, lol). The Bears rushing game is pretty good, but I am confident that the Colts' defense will put a stop to it.
I am confident that Peyton and company will come through for the fans. The DEF will shut the
Bears down, and therefore, end the game.
GO COLTS!!!

What are you talking about Rex had better numbers? Rex had a 54.6 completion rating. Peyton had a 65. Rex threw for 3193 yards. Peyton threw for 4397. Rex had 23 touchdown passe and 20 interceptions. Peyton had 31 touchdown passes and only 9 interceptions. Rex had 73.9 passer rating while Peyton had a 101. Also Peyton has only fumbled the ball twice this year and only once did the other team get it. Rex has fumbled it 8 times and 5 times it has gone to the other team. Peyton Manning could have a better game than Rex Grossman if they ended up amputating his thumb. By the way the Colts were 3rd in the NFL this year in yards per game and our first in the postseason. The Bears were 15. The Colts led the league in points per game not the Bears and also led the league in yards per play. Rex Grossman is going to decide the fate of the Bears because it's not like against the Cardinals where the defense can bail him out. He cant have a 0 passer rating 5 turnover game and expect the Bears to win. As far as I can see you are another ignorant Bears fan who obviously has not researched their stats.

The Colts have a legitimate arguement here, there is no question about that. You can't blame Colts fans for thinking they can win because if you don't then you obviously don't like the team. But you can't compare Grossman to Manning in QB numbers. The lets get some stats straight here: Grossmans QB rating-73.9; including the horrid games with his .4 QB rating. Manning- 101 QB Rating; pretty good numbers. Grossman- 23 TD's 20 INT's; frankly that isn't too productive as a QB. Manning- 31 TD's 9 INT's that is great numbers. Grossman- 262/480 54.6% with 3193 yards passing. Manning- 362/557 65% with 4397 yards. You talk like Grossman is some great QB; when really he isn't much at all. Grossman is the X factor for the Bears because if he makes mistakes the Bears will lose. All he has to do is give the ball to Jones or Benson and hope they run well. Then you say the Bears blew out the Saints, which they did. But that game was close in the 4th quarter. As of lately the running game hasn't been better than the Colts but the same. And I guarentee you Rex wouldn't even be close to 15-3 if he defense and Devan Hester didn't bail him out of many games. The game should be good but you are way too biased to the Bears for them to win. I am actually rooting for the Bears but those are little stats thrown your way....think about it before you get too cocky.

Ummm it doesn't really matter if Rex had better numbers in his first 16 game season than Peyton Manning (even though I'm sure he didn't). It matters who has better numbers right now. And sorry, there is no way in hell that Rex Grossman is close to the caliber of QB that Manning is. That's not being biased, that's not being a homer, because I'm not even a Colts fan. Comparing Grossman and Manning makes NO sense.
No one's really hating on the Bears offense, but they aren't the best in the league. They don't have to be. In the Saints game their DEFENSE constantly put them deep into their opponents territory. If your D consistently puts you on your opponents' 30 yard line then geeez eventually even the most mediocre offense will score.
The Bears can win the game, but they'll have to do exactly what they've been doing all year when they've won. They need their defense to play the best game of the year, and they need for Rex to take care of the ball.

Really funny when a Bears fan can't back out the fact that 1) Grossman had a few terrible games this year against the Cards and Packers (after all they have the best defense!), not to mention his cheap excuse for his poor performance after the NYE performance, 2) remind me, the Bears lost to the Pats yet the Colts beat them twice and put the most points on them of any team all year (27 and 38), 3) the Saints have a stellar defense! as the Colts so obviously the Bears are going to walk all over them, 4) never mind the fact that Alexander put nearly 5 yards a carry against the defense, there's no way Addai/Rhodes can do it with Manning/Harrison/Wayne/Utecht/Clark...???, and here's the one to explain all (5) stats, as the Bears fan provided above, really helped the high profile running attack of Larry Johnson and the Chiefs as it did with the Ravens and their defense with McNair running clock control football on offense. So think about it! It is really, really funny!!! Ha Ha Ha!
We will see who laughs next Sunday. Go Colts!

Are you really that ignorant about football? This is Rex 4th season. If he cant stay healthy and complete a full season thats not Peytons fault. The Bears havent played anyone and when they did lose two of those games were to AFC teams and one was the lowly Dolphins 6-10 ouch thats gotta hurt. Oh and the division the Bears play in is oh so tuff lets see Green Bay losers, Vikings losers, and Detroit.........there is no word for them. Wow youd think 6 easy wins but you still lost to the lowly Packers who went 8-8. You played a good team in New England and lost. The Colts offense is to good. The Bears may have had the number one defense but they played mostly cream puffs. And Peyton Manning a possible hall of famer dude if he didnt take one more snap hed be in on his first try. Yeah Rex also had the 0 QB rating game. I cant stand looking at your crap you typed cause its complete nonsense. Learn a little about football before asking a question and insulting Colt fans. To read what you typed was an insult to my intelligence and everyone else who reads it.

Maybe its not us the Colts fans that are doubting Rex maybe its the Bears fan, lets see Sports Analyst, or yeah Hall of Fame Quarterbacks. Heck I live in Wisconsin and even Green Bay fans doubt Rex.
Gosh, okay I'm a die heart colts fan. But I also been a die heart Bronco fan and all that got me was drunk in my younger days. But I'm older and smarter and know it time for the Colts to bring on home. But I hope Rex has a game good because I don't want to hear about a quarterback contervesary all spring.

Yes they are. The Bears should be happy to enter this game as the underdog (however slightly that may end up being). I think things are setting up perfectly for a Bears win. Rex may surprise everyone with a very high QB rating in this game and much more importantly, a win. Manning will remain the crybaby he has been in previous seasons because the Bears will pressure him and he will make mistakes the Bears convert into points. Some teams and players are meant to be runner-ups (see Buffalo Bills and Jim Kelley), and the Colts with Peyton Manning appear destined to wear the runner-up crown in this decade. The Bears will be Super Bowl Champs this year.
