We let my brother in law borrow a phone one night and his wife got ahold of it, recharged it with one of those new battery cell phone chargers and made $300 worth of phone calls without our permission. We only let him use it because we knew there was only enough battery time left to get him through the night.... she went to extremes to use our phone without our permission. Could we refuse to pay that bill? When we realized that she had been using the phone because of a phone call from someone at my husband's work, I immediately had the number cancelled and reported lost/stolen. Anybody had anything like this happen?

Wow Why would you want to stay with someone you felt you should call 911 on? Okay point B why don't you have a freaking job! Just cause your a mom doesn't mean you can't work. Grab a part time job selling shoes, flipping burgers anything! Women need to be independent! Stop relying on your husband for everything! If you were flipping burgers or selling shoes, you could pay for your own cell phone and start saving for a divorce! Get a job Show your children women can provide too & leave your husband, simple as that!

Well since it was lost or stolen you dont have to pay the bill just explain to them what happened (your phone was stolen and used excessively without your permission) and they will just cancel the number and give you a new phone and sim card hope all goes well ♥

You can contest the charges, but you may cause yourself credit problems. Your best bet is to pay the bill and then take your brother-in-law's wife to small claims court for the $300.

If you file a police report about the theft then you can make a claim, but it depends on your carrier for what they will allow.

you have to pay it because you are responsible you may be able to make the guy you loaned it to pay for it in fact HE should pay for it. or better yet his wife should. and I wouldnt call either of them friends if they dont take care of your bill.good luck

seeing that you willingly handed your phone over...i would say you have no chance....pay the bill to save your credit and then chase her for the money legally if you have to....
