If you're down in Australia, you probably have a good view of Comet McNaught.

If you're in the Northern Hemisphere, you just missed it.

It's hard to answer your question, since comets are found almost weekly. Of those discovered, only a few can be seen with the naked eye.

Comet McNaught was discovered in August, 2006.

Well, you would need only pray for people in New York. If your in Mass, what would you be afraid of? The way I heard it was the Charles Bolden, a Chief Engineer at NASA was asked by a Journalist what we should do if a giant asteroid were headed toward New York. He told the Journalist that we should pray. For the record, (and I would think the recent impact in Russia would have made this obvious) an asteroid impact does not automatically mean an apocalypse.

Passed in january of 2007 a commet. It was seen only on brazilian skies.

The commet Halley will pass our orbit in 2070(+/-).
You'll see it...
We will realize our dream of to see it.
