There is no Civil War here because it turns out that they are BOTH right. Pronouncing names is based on how the people using that name pronounce it. In New York, it is DEFINITELY How-stun Street, and in Texas, it is DEFINITELY the city of Hyoo-stuhn.

So there you are . . . learn how people pronounce a word in a particular area and pronounce it the same way. Problem solved!
