u get short of breath quicker in hot weather, climbing up stairs or carrying things up stairs can leave u feeling winded. the cold weather feels more intense at times also.
trying to quit smoking is easier said than done. once u get hooked on it, it will burn a huge hole in the wallet. i did find a way to deep six these cancer sticks, and after 22 yrs, i've been smoke free since 12/12/06.

Smoking sucks. It is super addictive.
I smoked for 8 years and quit 5 days ago. You wouldn't believe how much effect it has on your body!
short term:
*smell
*teeth and oral health issues
*clothing damage/property damage
*common illnesses such as cold and strep are easier to get and last longer
*shortness of breath/ lung capacity/ smokers cough
*chest pains
*knowing that a substance has control and feeling powerless sucks
did you know nicotine takes some control over almost every body function? It acts as a CNS stimulant, appetite suppressant, and glucose regulator. It becomes an antidepressant, stress reliever, concentration aid, companionship, and best friend. The "all in one wonder drug" properties make it extremely addictive!
Long term effects: lung damage, throat damage, heart attack, stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer.. not just lung or throat cancer.. nicotine can cause cancer in ANY part of your body!
Plus you end up having to quit at some point (some do some don't) and face severe depression, mood swings, digestive problems, blood sugar problems, severe cold/flu like symptoms, coughing up black funk, weight gain, irritability, inability to concentrate, shakes, sweats, etc, etc. Nicotine patches are a gimmick, they don't work..
To sum it up. Don't smoke!

what are you asking smoking at all or smoking while pregnant. Because smoking in general can cause cancer and all that nasty stuff. But smoking during pregnancy can give your baby athsma and make it be really small at birth. But anyway...smoking isnt exactly the best idea.

Increased propensity for many many sicknesses and diseases, plus a big fat stinking hole in your wallet. Secondly, those who don't care for second hand smoke will avoid you.
