Ok, i got this laptop cd-rom on my desktop. i was putting a cd in but didn't really press it in, so now it disappeared somewhere in the thingy. i have no clue how to get it out of there because i can still use it for reading other cd's, it's just gives me an uneasy feeling that somewhere in there is a linux live cd-rom. Have any ideas?

Sounds like you are going to have to open up the laptop and take it out. No clue how many screws you'll be removing, but ... it's probably the only way to remove the disk.

Good luck

Wow, a lot of dumb answers. Get a screwdriver, open your computer case. Take out the CD Drive and open it, and take the disk out.

Ok first of all...if you have iTunes open it up. itunes has the strongest cd ejector on your computer. At the bottom of itunes there should be a little eject button, click it. It should eject ur cd.
