cause my cd-rom keeps open and close.but when i push the button to open,it wont open.hope someone can help me.thx

Right tic on "My Computer" and select "Manage", on the left pane select "Device Manager". When the next window comes up, in the right pane select "CD/DVD-ROM Drives", then right tic the CD-ROM drive and select "Uninstall". Restart the computer, this reloads the drivers, which may have become corrupt.

Go into the contol panel and then systems-then hardware-device manager scroll down and look for cd-rom expland the highlight the expanded and click properties.. What does it say working propertly or what?

Open up your case, disconnect the power cable and the ribbon cable, swap these two cables with those of your other drive (if applicable), if you do not have another disc drive, just reconnect the wires after disconnection. If that doesn't work you may need to buy a new drive, but first I would recommend taking it to a repair shop.
