Something very specific to me. My boyfriend gave me The Curse of Lono, a large illustrated book by Hunter S Thompson, one of my favorite writers, another book by the same author, a 50 dollar Amazon certificate, and a Grateful Dead bear that happened to have the same name as I do (not edwin obviously)...that I'd seen and though was cute. And bobby pins because I'm always losing them. And a bottle of good gin because I'd been talking about how much I was starting to like gin and tonics. This was for my birthday and to make up for a Valentines Day he missed, so I wouldn't suggest spending so much money. My favorite part of it was the beautiful message he wrote in the card. I just wanted to illustrate the point that it doesn't have to have a hearts and flowers theme...those were all things that I liked or desired/fit my interest so to speak. It was the most thoughtful gift I have ever received. So try spending some time thinking about her interests and be creative. It means so much more than chocolate and jewelry.
But..If she really likes, say, lizards and sterling silver...then maybe you should find a cute necklace with a lizard pendant (a lame example I suppose). What is her favorite movie star or director? Get some hard to find movies or books you know she'd like. When all else fails, lots of flowers and a homemade dinner of her favorite foods are a perfect idea. You can be thoughtful in the menu planning and decorating a way you think she would appreciate. It doesn't have to be expensive at all....just something you thought about and personalized. A photo album of her favorite pictures or pictures of the two of you. If you can make something, def do it. Or just get some strawberries and throw off the whole consumerism holiday altogether.

Homemade gifts are the best. I loved getting things like that. Make her a card, write a poem or letter to her inside of it. Make her some heart shaped cookies with little icing messages on them and put them in a Valentine Tin. A dozen paper rozes would be lovely. Make her a CD with some love songs on it. Be creative and have it come from the heart....She will LOVE it AND You!
I hope these ideas helped!

I saw a friend of mine clean up last year with four or five different girls by making construction paper Valentines Day cards and putting coupons like "1 free cuddle for fifteen minutes MAX!" in them. He also took candy hearts and spelled out phrases with them. He was getting play from all of these chicks for weeks afterwards. They thought it was the CUTEST.

Certainly there are a lot of things u can give me. However i would be very pleased to think that u have bothered to take ur time to know what i want/like and give it to me on that very special day. Its giving me what i least expect from u. Like a beautiful surprise. It doesn't require to be expensive. Its the thought that matters.
just make the day special and memorable for the two of us. U and me -together, we're like magic.

Put a teddy bear and a box of chocolates on the bed. Cook me a fancy dinner and set it all up on the coffee table with candles lit everywhere, and nice mellow music with sinful chocolate dessert, dance with me to some slow music. then run a bath for me and wash me, and slip me into new lingerie you bought me, lay me down.............
