Yeah. American cars DO suck. The best cars come from Germany & Japan. I had a Lexus since 2004 & it never failed me yet...

Don't tell me everything you use is American made. Look at your shoes (made in China), your camera (made in Japan) etc.
We have an obligation to our country but we have a greater obligation to our families safety and our own pocket. Most American made car are junks. The American car companies are more interested in taking your money offering useless gadgets instead of emphasizing in quality, that is the real Truth. Buying a reliable vehicle doesn't make you unamerican, besides our American cars usually use a great percentage of parts made outside of the USA, where as most foreign car companies use parts made in the USA. You should inform yourself a little before making the above statement.

Actually a lot of non american cars are made right here. Toyota recently opened a brand new plant in San Antonio, TX. The company may be owned overseas, but it does employ quite a number of American workers.

You can be proud of america and still have a car tht's non american it's what kind of car you like but then you put the american flag on it to still show supoort for your country. I t doesn't matter what you drive as long as your still proud of your country. Don't let petty things like that bother you you will just make yourself sick over it. Worry about yourself and what you would do.

So is it better to buy an obstensibly American car which provided jobs overseas than it is to buy a supposedly "foreign" car which was built by Americans?

"Ford...
underscored his China-centric strategy by announcing that the company’s procurement of Chinese-made parts this year would nearly double from last year’s levels – $2.5-$3 billion versus between $1.6 and $1.7 billion. And he strongly suggested that Ford would be exporting cars from China to the United States sooner rather than later."

S. extra into dependence on remote places oil and jeopardized our usa's secure practices. i've got faith that's a lot greater patriotic to place an American flag on a VW Jetta TDI that gets 50 mpg than to place that flag on some huge Ford or Chevy hunker of a truck that's a techniques larger than the guy easily want and gets 15 mpg -- except, of course, you count extensive style "want' as which incorporate overcompensating for different male inadequacies. With that reported, in the event that they actually do want the truck for their livelihood, that's yet another tale. yet those people who tension Hummers to and from paintings interior the suburbs ought to pause long and complicated to correctly known the absurdity of their habit -- whether they do placed an American flag on it.
