My sister's b/f asked me to go w/ him to pick out a ring for my sister, but she has simple, but hard to find taste and we're thinking about having one designed for her. I am looking for people who have buying experience in this department, where I can I find the cheapest and nicest place online (or that will ship out) to design and buy an engagement ring, maybe even an entire set.......

She insists on white gold or platinum and I would prefer sites/places that have many options as in the diamond and the ring shape. (Her dream ring is a Marquise diamond on a v-shaped band.) Please help!!!!Thank you.

Just so everyone knows, we're very close, I know exactly what she wants, and she's jokingly told him that she wants me to help pick it out. She thinks he'll go for something big and she's very wierd about that. She hates big bulky rings, the kt size is not important to her, she'll love it just cuz it's from him.

I got my ring at Jared's, best place. Bar none

My husband took me to pick out my ring and we designed it and to me that was the sweetest proposal, I got exactly what I wanted. Altogether engagement and wedding ring are 3 ct.

sku 560645602 is our ring, but I picked an emerald cut and it was a bit expensive, 2ct stone. He paid altogether about $1500.-$2000.
(not sure exactly)

Your choice but would you want your sister to pick out your ring?

The advantage of going to a reputable jeweller is that if she doesn't like it or if it needs adjustment she has the option. Most major stores (enquire first) will replace the ring and let you get something else. She's the one that has to wear it..

My opinion would be to go with white gold (probably a lot cheaper and spend the extra on the diamond.

Best thing to do is have a catalog from Kays, Leroys, Zales, Marks & Morgan, etc and play the game it you could pick anything on this page, what would it be? Find one that she really likes and then go from there.

My sister and I used to do that when we were kids and even now, I look at ads with someone or go into a store with someone and ask which is their favorite to get an idea for someone else that is looking to buy something for them.

Most all jewelry stores these days have online brochures of the items they sell.

Once you get an idea, you could also go to a local jeweler and see what it would cost to have one made the way you want it.

first of all while somebody is going to make this kind of vast investment you could in no way try this on line. You in no way comprehend what you will get. flow to the jewellery shops and rings substitute places. The jewelery substitute places have this kind of great form of jewelers in it you will detect what you like on the fee you like. See the diamond up close. Books and %. on the internet can look sturdy by utilising retouching. For all you comprehend it may purely be a sprint glass.once you do purchase, get a certificates of authenticy. Then have it appraised at a relied on jewyler
