I'd have to say mine is:

The wait person asking if everything is ok, while you just took a bite of food.

A customer at nearby table, brushes their hair and/or flips it around.

Hah ha! Please list yours. ^.^

Dirty silverware or plates - there is no reason for that and it is a real turnoff! And then the over- attentive waiter who is at your table every 5 minutes. Yikes. Just thought of one more - being seated at a table and then ignored for 10 minutes or more. Servers are supposed to greet you within 15 seconds of you seating down.

My husband is a dining room manager and when him and I go out to dinner - wow! Talk about pet peeves. He watches the entire staff and comments on all their mistakes. It's absolutely hilarious.

when you are in a nice restraunt with your spouse or significant other on a long awaited date and there is a screaming child whose parents are completely ignoring the fact that everyone in the entire restraunt is looking at their child except them. It is a real irritant. When my second child was very young he had a terrible temper tantrum problem. If we ever went out we did not go to the nicer ones with the dimmed lights with him with us. It was four years before I was even able to sit through an entire church service. I just felt obligated to go outside with him as a respect for other people and not be a distraction.

I agree with ur first pet peeve
when the waiter comes to ur table while u r in the middle of chewing and asks "how's the food?"

When it takes a waiter like 3hrs to get u bread and drinks or even come to ur table

When the host/hostess is rude

Yeah I hate that when u just take the first bite, and you get the bubbly "is everything ok"......one time I just wanna say NO!!! lol just to see the reaction... I hate it also when people let they're kids act outta control in restaraunts, or u get the burper or farter, or the person who blows they're nose at the table...GROSSSSSS

When the person that wipes the table off wipes the crumbs on to the chairs or bench. So when you go to sit down, you have to wipe off the seat before sitting down if you don't want food stuck to the back of your legs and butt.

Parents who can't control their loud and annoying kids...and yeah the waiter always comes at the exact wrong time! And if it's a buffet, people who are dirty or eat food then put it back.

When the server keeps coming back to ask how things are. Once five-ten min. after serving (in case something wrong) and again in ten-fifteen min. That is all that is really need already!

I go out to restaurants occasionally sometimes more often. But anyways...I agree with you 1,000 % plus..when I am sitting down eating my food and one or worse, two kids are sitting behind me whining because they don't want to eat "that", they want to go home. and they never sit still in their booth and I can feel them kicking my booth! That and.... The music louder than my friend trying to talk to me.
