I am in love with a very good friend of mine and have been for over 5 years now....she is in a committed relationship and I am trying to finally get past putting her first in my life and so I am looking for a poem to express that I still love her very much and always will but that I have to move on for the better of everyone involved and that we will still always be friends....

Can anyone help me with a poem like that? I have searched for poems like goodbye, starts with goodbye(song), letting go, time to let go and stuff like that and just can't find the perfect one..any suggestions anyone???

Thanks..

Forgot to mention that my friend already knows how I feel, I'm not giving her a poem to let her know how I feel about her, she has known for 5 years now. I'm trying to find a poem that tells her that even though I love her with all my heart I am going to try to stay just friends with her..some thing that is VERY hard to do when you have those types of feelings for someone...but I have done it for over 5 years now :)

big mistake,no poems no music no just wanting to let her know how you feel.by writing a poem to her telling her how you feel and you are ready to put her behind you is really lieing to yourself.what you are really hoping for is once she reads the poem your hoping she will drop the guy she is with and get with you.if your really ready to put her behind you,a poem wouldn't be nessessary.just put her behind you and move on and stop kidding yourself. good luck. pete
