Practically speaking, nope.
Fundamentally, child support exists as a right of the child and you have a whole family court system that works to protect that right and has the child to hide behind. If you have a child, expect to pay child support, that's pretty much it. Married, divorced, single, etc, it doesn't matter. Now, how much child support, that is a different story as to what you can influence.
The only way to get out of child support is if you and the mother agree to you relinquishing all parental rights to the child. This is a lot harder than it sounds, however; by doing this, the mother in many jurisdictions waives her own right to welfare, so she has a decided disinterest in letting you off the hook.

The court can help enforce the contact but the child support is for the child not your ex. Why would you want to deny your child new clothes, shoes, a tutor or even a movie with their friends? More children of divorce are raised below poverty because their absent parent denies support. If your support is court ordered your wages can be garnished under the deadbeat dad law. Try to establish visitation but don't take food from your child's table.

The only way you can get out of paying child support is if your child lives with you or if you sign off all your rights.

No its still your responsibility to pay child support. You helped to create the child and even if you decide you dont want to see the child you still have to help support him or her. If your ex wont let you see the child then you have to get visitation rights. Either way its your responsibility to help pay for the child you created

Laughing Man Copy Cat gave a very good answer. You Sir are a no good Sorry Son OF A BITCHH. Most likely you don't pay child support anyway. A slightly better solution to your problem than Laughing Man gave would be to require you to have your little dickie severed. With an ax. If your liberal friends won't volunteer. I WILL.

none of my business but are you being told you can't see your child and for what reason. in my opinion you do have an obligation to the child unless by your being there you somehow put your childs health and safety in doubt. my suggestion would be to pay the support and try to be a dad, not a only a father, to your kid.

Well, why would you want to punish your child by not providing for him or her? Your child did not ask to be born and whether you have contact or not, he or she is STILL partly your responsibility. Why do non-custodial parents often look for a way out of supporting their children? Don't they care whether or not their own kids are clothed, fed or sheltered? Don't you want your child to have as much as he or she deserves out of life? Or are you just looking for an easy way out?

Depending on where you live, I believe the only way is to sign parental rights away, which is a pretty lame thing to do to get out of paying money to your child.

if you give up parental rights, but why would you want to do that that child is apart of you,why dont you try and be in your childs life instead of leaveing,it will scar your child if you arent apart of there life, a child needs to understand and know both a mom and a dad,and feel love from both.i hope you make the right dession, take time to think about it,take care.
