Hip Hop was cool in the 90's when there was wars between east and west. Thats when the lyrics were true and the beats were good.
Now hip hop artists are just posers none of them are from any mean streets and they are all rich and pussified. It's not dead yet and it won't be until mtv gets their head out of their a** and starts playing some good music.

To be serious, hip hop isn't dead at all...period or commercially.
Hip hop is a culture that a lot of young people here follow and is constantly thriving. I don't follow the hip hop culture, I don't dress like they do, but living in NY here and having been to many places in the U.S. I can tell you that hip hip is definitely not dead. In fact, it's just being reborn.

But you can't beat old school hip hop like Tupac and Biggy...back in the 90s is when hip hop was at its best...now you have dumb@$$es like 50 cent and others who can't rap for their life.

Not sure what you mean. If anything, it's dead b/c of commercial appeal. The best years of hiphop and rap was early 90s. Timeless good stuff back then.

hip hop in the definition of historical hip hop is said to be dead......but actually it has been rejuvenated and transformed into a more globally appreciated genre rather than an African American heirloom.
