There is a huge maturity difference at this age....

Besides, you obviously don't think too highly of her because she's "fat"...you obviously aren't a prize either otherwise you'd be dating someone your age and in your grade.

12 and 14 is only 2 years, it's not a big deal. Who cares if she's fat? Now personally, 12 year olds shouldn't be "dating" but I guess in this day and age kids start dating at what, 10? lol. I wasn't even interested in boys until I was 14, and didn't really "date" until I was 15.

*I* would definitely NOT go out with ANY 12 year old. But here's a story for you!

I was a very chubby 12 year old at one point (I was like 4'11" and weighed 120 lbs at the time)...guys still went out with me 'cause I was still cute and fun to be around...and guess what? I lost all that baby-fat the very next year, grew a few inches, and modeled throughout my teen years. Any guys who snubbed me while I was "fat" were seriously the very same guys who nearly stalked me because they wanted to be with me when we were in high school.

So what I'm saying is: Fat chicks rule! =P Haha...nah but really, if you look on the INSIDE, you will be greatly rewarded.

Everyone seems to be giving you a hard time about seeing this younger girl as fat. If that is the case, you need more time to mature as I am sure she does. Worrying about what your friends will think shows that you are insecure with who you are. If you are going to be a friend, THEN BE A FRIEND. You two are too young to be considering a "relationship". Why not hang out - whoever heard of having too many friends?

Either way, lol if you are 14 going out with a 12 yr old is not a bad thing lol.....wait til you are older and you will want your gf to be younger than you! Trust me, I'm 21 and I myself do not date any guys younger than me only older ones...i mean not ancient but yeah you know what i mean!

It depends on lvl of maturity. Some 6th graders (12 yrs old) are real jerks. I wouldn't; go out with a 12 yr old if i were 14 though.

If you like her, got out with her! Who cares what she looks like! Also 12 to 14 is not much of a jump in age.

I think I was about twelve or thirteen when my mom let me highlight my hair. I was having a bad day and feeling really self concious and so she decided to do something nice for me. I think a few subtle highlights would be nice and not do any harm. In the summer my mom used to spray lemon juice into my hair and the sun would bleach it. Which was a nice natural way to do it as well.

I'm not getting this.. Is this a real problem... Which perspective are you talking about? I think it's fine about the fat but Junior high and high-school is a big jump.. I'd stay with people your own age.

Hope this helped!
