I have actually been in a terrible situation of hatred like this. It's funny but, and God forgive me, I was just saying this very afternoon that I hope the person dies along with the parents and sister, a horribly slow and painful death. Maybe I'm wrong in feeling this way but I feel true hatred for these people and have for a long time. True hatred never fades...

I have found that the best thing to do is just stay away from them. Pretend as if he/she didn't exist. But I guess it really all depends on if you were friends before and if you really want to be friends again.
