I often take my laptop with me, but there's not always an access point nearby. Are there any ISPs that can be accessed wirelessly? Are they expensive?

There are wireless cards out there you can get to use cell sites to connect to the internet. Like for example, there is something called air cards that sprint has to connect to their wireless network.

Check with your wireless provider for this.

Hope I was of help!

You can use a cell phone to connect to an ISP with a data cable connecting the two. I believe that a cell phone acts as a modem.
