did she set a password reminder? that may help... if not then contact dell and give them the service tag... they may be able to give you a default login code that'll access you stuff.... if not you may have to take it to a comp shop to have it reset....

Yes, simply reboot the computer in safe mode. To do this, reboot your system, and before the windows logo appears hit and hold f8. A screen will appear with boot options, scroll down, and select safe mode. Once the system starts up, log in with the user account administrator, without a password. At the system restore screen, click no to indicate that you don't want to run system restore. Then, go to control panel, and then user accounts. Click on the account that you want to get into.. From there, you can either change or remove the password. Once this is done, restart the computer normally, and log in with the account that you were trying to use in the first place. Hope this helps!

Yes of course there are.
There is always an administrator(s) account on the computers, and in case you mom is considered as an administrator, try loggin in with another user if any is created.
Case you are not succesfull, contact your DELL company and ask they for the Service Password or Admin to unlock the PC.
Also if not succesful, get a bootable OS Disc and reformat the PC :), and put a big sticker on the screen to your mom labeled with her password.

Yes. Restart the computer in safe mode (hit f8 repeatedly as soon as you boot up until the boot menu appears). In safe mode the hidden admin account is visible and usually does not have a password assigned. Log in on that account and go to the user accounts applet in the control panel and change the password for your mom's account.

she can enter in safe mode, i think. By doing this you boot up the computer and when you see all of those letters and numbers and crap you know when it;s booting up repetidley hit the F8 key and when you are in safe mode see if you can get in. When you are in then go to the start menu, control pannel or w/e. and tell her to take her password off. There is a way to do it but I am not sure, you will figure it out. Hope I helped... PEACE!
P.S I am telling you to delete the password all together because you need to know the recent password to change it to a new one. You can put a password back on it later.
P.S.S I am 13 years old, am I smart or what.
