Whenever I turn my computer on, I have to wait for two programs to finish loading before I can use my computer. How do I take these two files from the startup menu, so that they will not do this anymore? I do not wish to remove the files completely, I just want them to quit starting as my compuetr is starting. Help me, please!!!

Go to Start, then Run, type in msconfig then hit ok. when that comes up, go to the tab that says start up. Look for the program(s) you don't want to start when your pc loads, then uncheck that box and hit apply.

thanks for reminding me to remove Adobe from my start up folder.

In Win2k, I just go to the start menu and find a program folder called "startup" and delete the offending shortcut.
