Laminated I beam?

Does anyone know how much laminated I beams cost? Thanks!

I pay about $300 for a glue-lam garage door header (3" wide x 12" tall x 18' 9" long).

Depends on your span Lenght from post to post, measure it up and check out the code book, most lumber stores can help you out or th e information is available online. Laminated beams are stronger than beams made of wood, so the span is greater.

Depends upon the length and rating. Generally they cost less than a similiarly rated solid wood beam and they are more available.
