Whats better the wii or ps3? which would you get and why?

The Wii is way better than the PS3.
I have the Wii, and I have a close friend who has the PS3. we play the Wii a lot more than the PS3.

As already mentioned, the PS3 is for more for hardcore gamers. Wii is a system that you can really have a fun party with, and since it's from Nintendo you know that they will make many great games for it using classic characters. Right now I would also stay away from the PS3 because of the amount of games for it, which is not many. Wii does not have a bunch more games than PS3...but it does have a few more.

The ps3 has far better graphics and can do a LOT with one wireless gamepad, but the wii offers intereactivity in gaming like never before. Price-wise, the wii is a LOT cheaper, and it has fewer bugs than the PS3. Basically, the PS3 is for Hardcore gamers looking for thrill, but the Wii offers a more laid back gaming experience with a level of interation that leaves the other systems biting dust.

the wii is better. you can get it, 3 extra controllers, 3 games, and some money to buy a smoothie on the way home for the price of JUST a 60GB ps3

It depends if you like shooting games you would probably like ps3 better but if you like to actually play the game with your body get the wii i suggest that you try both and than make your descion
