I'd have to know a LOT more in order to be able to give you more specific information but I will offer a suggestion. The body has a good idea of what it needs, and if it isn't receiving what it needs (or is receivingg too much), symptoms will appear. Are you eating a variety of foods? There are roughly 40 nutrients that are most important to our bodies, but 6 that are considered ESSENTIAL (fats, carbohydrates, proteins,vitamins, minerals, water) All of those break down and without getting too technical, it is recommended to get a "variety of foods and a variety of colors" in an effort to get what you need. EVEN if you eat 100% of what you should have, of 5 of those 6 essential nutrients, and you get good and full every meal, you're body will tell you "I'm so hungry please feed me, and hopefully you get what I need." And you wil remain hungry if you are malnourished in even just one area. WATER is one of the biggest culprits of producing hunger along with thirst. If you are slightly dehydrated, and your body consistently tells you "be thirsty", if that doesn't work it will start saying "be hungry, eat something and I sure hope its something juicy". Of course, this is just a first line answer and more information would have to be divulged in order to persuade a less general answer. To some things up....be sure your nutritional needs are being met before becoming too concerned, and on a little side note....You actually are creating a cycle by eating before bed. Not only do your eyes want to "rest" when you sleep, but so do all of your body systems. When you eat right before bed, your stomache and digestive system has to stay awake to process that food and although these systems never truely "sleep" (unless anesthesia is involved), they don't appreciate a fresh workload right before bed. Your quality of sleep may significantly decrease if you ask your digestive system to process food at night, and when you wake, you won't feel as rested. Every now and then is OK, but consistently do this and you may even be able to consider yourself sleep deprived. If you are sleep deprived, all of those little things in your body that tell you when you should be hungry and when you should be thirsty won't be working up to par and guess what...it's a cycle.

Please, make an appt. with your doctor as soon as you can, and please if not a physical, at least get some blood work done. Thyroid, diabetes, hypoglycemia, etc. Also, cbc (complete blood count), and any other blood test the doctor thinks would be good. Unless you all of a sudden got a higher metabolism, to burn all those calories, the blood work should answer the question of what is going on with your body and the eating. Wishing you the best. Don't know how old you are, but if you are a teen, it comes with your age. depends on how much you exercise. Don.t worry you can take it just keep your spirits up, depression sometimes makes you eat more too. Or hanging around the TV all evening.
