Why are we in Iraq?
Saddam Hussein was hanged!
Osama Bin Laden still lives!
Will Osama finally be hanged when he gases the Kurds?

I have asked the same thing, but Bush conveniently changes the answers, first it was to "avenge 9/11 and capture OBL", when it was clear that OBL was not in Iraq it was changed to "find WMD's and the Al Qaeda cells Saddam is hiding", no dice with that so it eventually became "Liberating the Iraqi people". The focus was lost and became a convenient way for Bush to finish his vendetta against Saddam. Well, Bush won and the US gained nothing. Terrorism is as strong as ever and we've lost 3000+ troops in a civil war he started. We have a HUGE deficit, high gas prices and our country is divided. The US has lost the admiration and respect of the world. I believe OBL is dead.

hi Kelly B again, yes Iraq was one of the governments used for the training ground facilities for terrorists, way back when Carter was in office? Then Reagan, then Bush, then Clinton, and then Bush jr. Yemen is another place, Pakistan, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, and some of Africa as well as south America, and don't forget Afghanistan, and Turkey. If we were able to stop them in Afghanistan back when we first found out about the training grounds and the Soccer Stadium we built there for over 300,000,000 million they were using to execute people who would not follow, we would have. But we needed to sort it our because they are like cells, they are everywhere. Even in Canada as well as Europe. Saddam was hanged and should have been as well according to the war crimes he committed. Osama Bin Laden will be hanged if found and I believe we will do that here in this country because Saudi expelled him in exile and then he committed the crimes here so he is a man without a country. Personally I wish they would do it in Pakistan where the real blame goes because along with Saddam, Pakistan was supporting Osama Bin Laden. Don't forget he was highly educated here in America as well, and he gave a lot of money to people to support his efforts of takeover with terrorism, He paid Russia as well for Arms and munitions? They say Russian mob?
But have you read up on Premier Putin lately, he is an assassin as well. Osama should be hanged yes and all his staff and associates that have been involved with the killings of innocent people.

No. The hijackers were mostly from Saudi Arabia, one from Egypt. I am thinking we are in Iraq because Bush has some kind of unresolved conflict with his father. Thousands are dying because he can not pick up a phone and call Bush 41.
Saddam was a fall guy and Osama is largely ignored. It all makes for an interesting story.

Bush's Daddy and Raygun gave weapons to both Saddam and Osama. And money. They switch between loving those two men and hating them, when it suits their economic purposes. Like rats..like snakes in suits they are.

You never know just who the Rethuglicans are loving or hating, except Democrats. They never love Democrats. They have, however loved both Saddam and Osama.

No, after 911 most people with one eye and half sense understood we couldn't afford to wait and see if Sadam was going to become the next Bin Laden or not. We made the choice for him, he would not get the chance.

There are no good and bad terrorist, Al Qaeda is not the only terrorist organization out to kill americans. We are at war with all of them where ever they are. You might have the option of picking your friends but you don't get to pick your enemies. Our options are destroy the Islamic terrorist or be destroyed. Which do you choose.

We went into Iraq because we had to enforce the 17 UN Resolutions. The resolutions were resulting from Saddam's refusal to abide by the terms from the Gulf War.

Supporting our need to do this was

1. He admitted he had WMD's, along with the UN, France, and a whole host of others.

2. We had intelligence that he attempted to get yellow cake uranium in Niger.

Liberals have repeatedly tried to rewrite history and have failed. This came directly from Pres Bush's speech the night before we went into Iraq.

Now that we are there, we must help Iraq defends itself. If we leave Iraq and they cannot defend themselves, Iran will take over and have a big breeding ground for terrorists.

Maybe you should read the resolution. It states that ANY harbor of terrorists shall be in violation and be the enemy of the US. The resolution dose not state that the war powers were limited to Al Qaeda and the like. And besides that Al Q is there now. Better to kill them there then have them kill you here.
