how come the bulls get no respect. they have a great team, and are 3rd in one of the best divisions in the NBA. The have Wallace, Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich. But they get no publicity on ESPN, no Sunday games on ABC, or nothing. WHY?

Usually the teams who get the most TV exposure are GOOD teams that have proven themselves. Meaning, they did very well the year before. The bball tv schedule is worked out before the season even starts.
The kings are my favorite team, and a couple years ago when they were good, they got a lot more tv exposure than they do now. The mavericks are really good now, and they are on tv a lot. Suns are on often, Heat, Lakers, Mavericks etc.. all good teams with star players.

The bulls are really only known for Michael Jordan. Once he left, the media kind of just fell off. They do have a great team though.

B/C they don't have a glamorous star player that is going to pull in the big ratings. They may get on TV if they play against a glam player, but otherwise, they will have to settle for the local station, WGN.

No star quality player.
Can't hold double digit leads.
Defense 1st team is not what brings in viewers.
High flying PHX and DAL get the hype and deserve it (they win and they're fun to watch while they win)

Have you seen how they have been playing lately. I mean yeah they beat Dallas last night but they're still not better than the Magic, Heat, Cavs, or Indiana.

They have a lot of good players but they don't have that stand out marquee/big name player that every one wants to see or talk about.
If they get Garnett they will have their premier headline player.

Theyre not the pistons. they will get that publicity if they can beat someone like detroit or washington in the playoffs
