How about a big fat businessman sitting in the back of a stretch limo, smoking a huge cuban cigar, glass of scotch in his hand. That's gluttony. Now show the limo driving through a little village, where plain clothed people are preparing a simple dinner to share. That's moderation.

To represent gluttony, I'd choose Buddah (no offense intended to the Buddists) because if his stomach got any bigger he would have exploded. To represent food, I'd choose the food pyramid triangle--simple, but it represents food.
