The quote you described sounds similar to a phrase found in the short story called "The Magic Banana Adventure." The phrase is spoken by the Great Wallah of Poobah when the characters B Bear and Lambie are in search of an answer for a magical banana they found. The phrase is like this:

So there has been a confusion in your quote. His finger is pointed into the sky in realization, not at something.

It's pointing at a man with a fishing pole, onto which he has put a raw piece of meat and he is waving it in front of the nose of a huge, growling tiger. The finger is pointing at him and moving from side to side in a "shame on you" gesture and the mighty voice is saying, "I wouldn't do that if I were you!"
