It basically will depend on a couple of things. The first thing is how mature is she for her age? Modeling and acting take a lot of discipline and patience...and an even bigger question is, does she really have talent? If your son really does have a manager and "contract" ask the manager what he thinks about her chances of succeeding. Also, make sure you keep an eye on BOTH of your children and definitely keep an eye on any manager or adult who deals with them. Don't sign anything until you have a reputable lawyer look over the contracts. Don't expect big things at first....sometimes things can be slow, and keep in mind that your son and daugher are one of MANY out there trying to make it big. Just having a "manager" doesn't necessarily guarantee success. They are a dime a dozen, and very few are really GOOD ones. Good Luck!

Since her brother already seems to have an 'in', let the girl go for it. But be prepared to support her if she doesn't succeed. It can be brutal enough for adults, show biz. I have a cousin who is an actress but has pretty much quit after several straight-to-video movies. Fortunately she has inherited her grandma (my aunt)'s talent for sewing clothes so she went into fashion design; some of her clothes have been worn by actresses on "Scrubs" and other shows.
In other words, make sure your kids have a back-up career and get good educations with any money that they earn. Do not spend the money they make on yourself with new houses and cars. Look at Ricki Lake for instance. She blew her first big paycheck on a house and garden without taking into account that there weren't that many roles available for overweight girls in Hollywood. She had to sell the house after a couple of years and if she hadn't gotten that talk show, she'd probably be living in a trailer park now.

A 5 year contract at 10? I don't see the problem with them doing a few jobs every now and again, but that is too much; especially since you're moving to Hollywood. Let them be kids.

Well, I was a child actor very popular at age 2 but I am also quite mentally ill with p.t.s.d. problems from the "special movies"and photos taken. It's not too young if you protect her and PAY ATTENTION ! Actually my brother and I enjoyed our times on Romper Room and Bozo ect. But my mother didn't PAY ATTENTION ! Good Luck ! CLOVER

Well as you can see from the past, many child actors develop a lot of psychological issues, so it would remain to be seen.

i personally think it's not promoting anything good for her or the rest of the world.. think about it, like why do so many girls have eating disorders and feel the need to be these picture perfect people? i wouldn't do it at any age

NO many kids get pushed too much or get forced to do bad things. Also they may get introduced to bad things like drugs, clubs ecrt.
