Hmm... I know what you mean! When I say something out of sarcasm, the person I was talking to either takes offense or just stares at me like I'm crazy or something... Then I tell them, "I was just kidding/being sarcastic!"
...And then they go, "Ohhh! Whatever"

One day, a blond with her headphones on went to a barber shop to get a haircut. The barber led her to a chair and asked "What kind of hairstyle do you want?", but the blond didn't hear, because she was listening to the headphones. The barber asked again, and again, each time asking louder and getting more and more frustrated every time. Finally, he took off the headphones and asked it again, but he found the blond dead. I think it's because almost 1/2 the people are learning impaired and most of the other 1/2 are under 12 years old.

When I see an obviously funny joke, I laugh to myself and congratulate the sender. If you think you are funny, maybe you are not; could be that what you think is funny is not. Same with being sarcastic, perhaps this comes off as just being mean spirited. You have to be highly intelligent to pull of both humor and cynicism; could it be that you are not as funny or as cleaver as you think you are.

they have headphones telling them how to breathe, of course.
I have noticed that people are giving serious answers to jokes, and its like "are you SLOW?!?" like some of the answers to Teks Q's for example...

I know exactly what you mean. I can pick up on jokes and sarcasm very easily, but others apparently can't.
