a buyer has been trying to send me a payment and it won't go through. they emailed me wanting my correct paypal email address. i gave it to them then when they tried to send it again i got an email saying the payment was recieved but for it to go through i had to confirm my email address and had a link to do so. i clicked on the link and it said to confirm to put in my pass word then it told me that was not correct and that account had been closed. what is going on? no one else has ever had trouble sending me a payment. is this a scam? do i need to send another invoice through paypal? it gave me the person's shipping address but wont give me the money.

ok, i don't know if it was a scam or not but their payment finally went through. After i turned them into paypal as spoof, took my checking account off my paypal, and changed my password. I am still calling my bank tomorrow. thanks for the advice everyone!

.
This sounds very scarey to me.
You might be being scammed.
Go to pay pay through your address bar
NOT THROUGH and email link...
and immediately check all of your information
including your recent activity of payments and withdrawals.
Change your password immediately.

If it was me, I'd also remove my bank and checking account information for a while.

I believe at the bonified PayPal site there is a place to send suspicious emails
look for an address like spoof@paypal.com

Be careful. NEVER click an email link to any site
where your banking information is stored.
ALWAYS surf to such sites directly.

Better you be careful in giving you address to unauthorised mails. Pal pal never asks you to confirm your IDs like this. Contact Pay pal over phone and request help. Their No is +1-402-935-2081. I can give you a link that deals with Payapl & Ebay transactions through Paypal. PayPal is one of the most popular online money transfer systems widely used for online auctions, pay to surf programs, e-books and purchase of low value goods. It is now a part of the online auction website eBay. More details available at

Contact Pay Pal customer service and tell them about the problem with the payment-they do get back to you pretty fast . Go on your profile page and make sure all of your information is up to date and correct. I never click on links that show up on my e-mail address that say E-Bay and Pay-Pal because most of those are scams, if Pay Pal or E-Bay has a problem with your account it will show up on your E-mail for E-Bay-be careful. First thing is to contact Pay Pal directly and not from a link.

You've just been scammed into providing the password to your Paypal account. Call Paypal at (888) 221-1161 ASAP as well as your bank and any credit card companies you used on the account.

you will acquire money into your paypal account the place it may the two be used to purchase products/centers and so on or you are able to decide directly to have the stability sent to an approved financial agency account.
