The warrant is for a robbery by force in 1978 at which time I was AWOL from the USNavy. A trial was held without my appearance and I was apparently sentenced to a probation period which I technically obsconded(went to JAX Naval Brigg). To this day when I am pulled over by the law, a warrant shows up on the computer and it takes from 30-60mins to clear and allow me to go about my business.

Call the lawyer referral service in Tucson and ask for a criminal attorney. They will give you a 30 minute consultation for $25. Once you get the information, I beleive it is a simple matter of asking that the record be expunged.

Some of the legal assistants in Tucson (Blackwood, L.L.C.) could help do the forms.

You need to hire a lawyer. Cost about $3500 in court costs and another $1k to $2k to the lawyer themselves, and the court system will close everything out for you and clean things up within 30 days of a favorable hearing.
