You could volunteer at a soup kitchen or something like that.

Or you could have a party with your friends.

I don't recall doing anything special when I turned 16, but these overdone Sweet 16 things weren't in fashion back in the dark ages.

Have a party with your "true" freinds and family. Not one of those over blown posser wanna be MTV jokes where the Birthday person doesnt know 75 % of the people there. And give your mother a nice present and tell her thank you.
