Smoking = Dry Throat. I would guess anyways. I've never done it. I'm just sayin'. After hanging around a camp fire I generally need a glass of water.

That's not a good sign.
The chemicals in the cigarettes are drying out your mucous membranes. This is a sign to quit smoking.

For the same reason you make beef jerky by putting raw meat in a smokehouse. You're drying out your throat by smoking.
