If you are talking about glolite (glolight?) tetras (that get 1.5 inches) you could probably get 6 in there...if it is already cycled and you're good with your maintainace and don't overfeed. Maybe start off with a snail for a few months to get the process going, and then he can help clean up the extra stuff later too...but only one snail, or you may have a whole bunch of them..and you don't need that many in a 10 gal.

Glofish (www.glofish.com) are Danios. Danios and tetras are two different things. I wouldn't put more than 4 or 5 danios (glofish) in a 10 gallon.

If you do mean tetras, it would depend on the kind of tetra.

the final rule of thumb for fish is a million INCH of fish consistent with gallon of water for freshwater, and a million Inch of fish consistent with 2 gallons of water for saltwater. that is in many cases a "suggestion" yet its a strong start up. reason being in case you get too many immediately, it is going to overload your organic and organic filter out and your fish will likely die. you may often tell in case you want extra fish. relying on how a lot decorations are contained in the tank also performs in to the equation, because more advantageous area taken up by technique of decorations ability a lot less water for oxygen to be saved in.

The most should be no more than three. After that the fish began beating up on each other to get the free space. So try to keep it to less than three. Alright hope I helped.
