If you where at the shops with your friends and were leaving the shop and the people asked if they could look in your HANDBAG which is your own personal bag, would you let them?

I would let them check my bag definitely. If you refuse they may get the idea the you have something to hide and cause you a lot of embarrassment before the situation is resolved. If there is nothing to hide, proudly display the bag., most of the time they take a quick peek and return it with an apology. Been there and had it happen.

Or, I would ask if they thought I was stealing. If they said yes, (and assuming I wasn't). I might let them, then tell them they should really be more careful what they accuse people of.
